HYDRO DAM TURBINE

Contracted by Yukon Energy, the team provided design assistance and construction services for the Hydro Dam Turbine “B” Access Improvements Project. The project consisted of installing a new retaining wall, asphalt parking lot, oil/grit separator, hydrocarbon-contaminated soil removal and treatment, and underground stormwater utilities. This was an environmentally sensitive project, as the foundation of the retaining wall was below the groundwater table, within a fish-bearing water body, and adjacent to the fast-flowing current of the Yukon River. The team utilized indigenous labor and services utilization throughout the project.
