NORCAL FIRES BASE CAMP

$450M, 2017 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES CLEANUP AND BASE CAMP, CA, USA

After wildfires swept through Northern California, the team performed a massive emergency response, clearing more than 569,500 tons of hazardous ash and debris from more than 2,400 residential properties spread throughout Sonoma, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino counties. Work was performed under time-critical task orders to expedite the rebuilding process for the thousands of residents affected by the destruction. Housing was extremely limited in the impacted area, requiring creative housing solutions. The team created several base camps, which included recreation and work facilities and life support services, at campgrounds within the counties to free up residential housing for displaced victims and visiting tourists.
